John 12:39-41

³⁹This is why they could not believe: Isaiah also said,

⁴⁰“He has blinded their eyes
    and hardened their heart,
so that they might not perceive with their eyes,
    and understand with their mind^[a] and turn,
        and I would heal them.”^[b]

⁴¹Isaiah said this when^[c] he saw his glory and spoke about him.
